I tried something different for the title track..DADGAD tuning...Never experimented with it before. I got a nice little riff going and built the song from there, but I honestly don't have a clue what chords I'm playing ! Even to this day ! I found a bassline that fitted over it and worked it from there. I think It's got a touch of REM about it in places. I wanted it to be an upbeat song lyrically, and just liked the phrase " I feel your warmth with every setting sun ".. The rest of the lyrics came to me when I was just walking around the rather grim estate I live on in Manchester...Winter time, curtains closed..pressure on everyone with Xmas..Then i turned it into something positive with the chorus and let the song run for a while at the end over the same riff..coz i liked it ! And that, I guess...is the album !
