Find me a Place

from Every Setting Sun by Marty and The Gone

/

about

A little change of mood with a very simple acoustic song about hoping for a peaceful state of mind and better things to come after the rotten year that was 2020. For anyone reading this and interested, I was on a website that highlighted some of Johnny Marr's chord progressions and how he formulated songs. They gave a load of sample chords to play around with and experiment with one's own progressions. So I stuck a capo on the 2nd fret of my acoustic, and this is the result ! I wanted to make this song short and sweet.

lyrics

Find me a place where my days are joyful,
Find me a place, where I sleep in peace..

Where the night has no fear of the day,
where it's good to be living again,
Where I look back and finally say
It was all just a bad dream...
